Pankaj Tiwari
India/PUBLIC REALM/
Moved to Amsterdam in 2019, where he studied with DAS Theater. His artistic approach is based on context and connections, particularly facilitating locations for knowledge exchange and curating creative interventions in public spaces. His master project is a temporary, non-institutional school for artists from diverse and international backgrounds and an intersectional audience. Tiwari works as an independent artist in Amsterdam but is still strongly connected to India. He strives for a world of equality and justice where racism no longer exists.
In early 2020, he founded 'Current: a space': a nomadic art initiative combining visual arts, performance, food and community with a group of artists, curators and academics based in Amsterdam. Primary of the project is a connection with other people, where individuals take care of each other. In addition, he and his coworkers see art as a means of communication between people and a way of exposing social inequalities
